On June 17-19, 2026, the American University of Central Asia welcomed a delegation from the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s Conservation, Restoration, and Bookbinding Service.

On June 17–18, 2026, the American University in Central Asia Library hosted the annual training “Academic Libraries: Traditions and Innovations” for university libraries in Kyrgyzstan.

  It has been more than 3 years since AUCA and Spirit of America began collaborating to support Afghan students studying at AUCA through the Afghan Future Campaign. Through the support of Spirit of America, students have had the opportunity to explore their own initiatives while resources were provided to ensure success in the classroom.

 
The Bard College Board of Trustees today announced the appointment of Executive Vice President and Vice President for Academic Affairs Jonathan Becker as acting president, as the Board of Trustees launches a comprehensive search for a new permanent leader.

      On April 29th, the International and Comparative Politics Department hosted its Public Lecture Series with Dr. Ruslan Rakhimov, Rector of the Diplomatic Academy of Kyrgyzstan, for a talk on training diplomats between national priorities and global demands.

On June 6, the American University of Central Asia proudly held its Commencement Ceremony, celebrating the achievements of the Class of 2026. The event brought together graduates, faculty, staff, families, friends, and distinguished guests to mark the successful completion of an important chapter in the students’ academic journey.

 
On June 1, the Sustainable AUCA initiative hosted the Closing Ceremony of the School Students’ Environmental Leadership Program at Elm Grove (Karagacheva Grove). The event took place at the AUCA Makerspace and brought together students, educators, environmental leaders, and project partners to celebrate the achievements of the program’s participants.

On May 20–21, American University of Central Asia welcomed Sir Harry Bhadeshia, newly appointed member of the AUCA Board of Trustees, for an official university visit.


 


The purpose of the visit was to familiarize Sir Harry with the university’s internal structure, academic environment, and ongoing institutional initiatives.
