High-school students of Osh and Bishkek discussed a crisis on the Korean Peninsula
On March 4 and March 15, 2018 the Department of International and Comparative Politics held crisis games in English for high-school students in Osh and Bishkek where young people discussed and debated on a topic of “Crisis on the Korean Peninsula”.

3 BEST MIGRATION RESEARCH PROJECT PROPOSALS: review of Basira Mir Mahamad - AUCA alumni
«This experience  was very helpful when  I was applying to the Master Degree Programs and scholarships, because to have high grades in a transcript is not the main priority for the admissions and  sponsors, they consider also ability to conduct research. As my professor at my new university said, «you are here not because you are the best, you are here because you are already a researcher». This is a review of Basira Mir Mahamad - AUCA alumni.
She was among three winners of the TSPC competition announced in 2016 to conduct her research.

Programming sessions
This semester, the Writing and Academic Resource Center (WARC) introduced tutoring sessions in programming by request from the Student Senate. This initiative—which became an immediate success, with all of the programming sessions booked on a regular basis--marks the first example of close cooperation between the Student Senate and the WARC.  We asked the Student Senators to tell us more about this project.

The competition: 3 BEST MIGRATION RESEARCH PROJECT PROPOSALS
The Tian-Shan Policy Center (TSPC) of AUCA is delighted to announce the competition for the 3 BEST MIGRATION RESEARCH PROJECT PROPOSALS. The TSPC will award 3 fellowships (1,000 USD each) to 3 students/groups of students for the best research project proposals. The money will cover the costs of conducting their research in migration issues. The deadline for submission of migration research project proposals is April 13, 2018.
