A pilot two-day workshop organized by the University of Liverpool and hosted by the Central Asian Studies Institute will take place on 7-8 June on AUCA campus. Scholars, students, citizens’ organisations, lawyers, and members of the public are welcome to join the discussion. 

As part of its activities on sustainable development and environment, the Tian Shan Policy Center of AUCA has joined the Climate Network of Kyrgyzstan.

As part of its activities on sustainable development and environment, the Tian Shan Policy Center of AUCA has joined the Climate Network of Kyrgyzstan.
The network is non-profit alliance of legal organizations created to reduce the negative impact of climate change on the environment and human activity at the national and international level.
The participation in the network will allow TSPC and AUCA to connect and cooperate with a large number of civil society organizations working on climate change and environmental topics. Active involvement in the network also offers possibilities to advance AUCA’s research and teaching on these topics.

Dr. Mairambek Nurgaziev , faculty member from EMSD department has published a scientific article on April 13, 2018 on the topic “Agricultural Assistance to Vulnerable, Food-Insecure Female-Headed Households in Kyrgyzstan”.

Competent jury consisting of 7 experts  awarded 3 fellowships (1,000 USD each ) for the best research proposals to the following 3 students/groups of students.

The research reports will be submitted by 01 October, 2018. The students research works will be presented at the National Students Conference on Migration in the end of 2018. 
 

On 13-14 April, the Departments of 'Applied Geology' and 'Environmental Management and Sustainable Development' at AUCA organized the field trip to Kumtor mining site for students. This site tour was arranged by faculty member Rustam Orozbaev, as a part of the practicum for the course of 'Environmental and Socio-Economic Impacts of Mining'.
